KU Book Club

KU Book Club in the old university library in Fiolstræde

Do you want to read more fiction – but find it hard to motivate yourself between your studies and the newest Netflix? Or do you just wish you had more “old-school university” atmosphere in your life? Then join KU Book Club. It’s a cozy and fun way to meet new people and read some great books. We meet every other Sunday in the old University Library in Fiolstræde to socialize, chat about books, and enjoy the atmosphere in the historical building.

The plan is simple – you sign up and let us know a little about yourself and the books you like to read, and we place you in a group based on that.

We read short books, long books, and short stories, and everything from science fiction and utopias to historical romance and Gothic horror.

We aim to always pick books that are available in libraries, second-hand, or online. You can choose if you prefer to read in English or Danish when you sign up. We usually read 50-100 pages between each meet-up, depending on group preferences.

KU BOOK CLUB FALL 2024 WILL RUN EVERY OTHER SUNDAY FROM SEPTEMBER 8 UNTIL DECEMBER 15.

KU Bookclub is a byStudents project for the University of Copenhagen, so you have to be a student, staff, or researcher at KU to participate.

The first meet-up of the semester will be more introductory, but you can join KU Book Club at any point.

Sign-up for the semester is needed, so we know who’s joining!  SIGN UP HERE
