Abekejser // ‘Floating Through The Universe’ Pre-Release Party
Now is the time! The release of Abekejser’s debut album.
The Danish power-ensemble combines electronics and hip hop with fusion jazz. Join the world premiere of a whole new musical expression, with festive vibes and ground-shaking grooves that will be presented on their upcoming debut album; ‘Floating Through The Universe’.
Since the band was established in 2015 Abekejser has released four singles, two of them accompanied with animated music videos. The singles struck a nerve because of their innovative sound and new take on instrumental music, almost bridging modern jazz to the mainstream hip-hop and indie music scene. Since those 4 singles, the band has developed into a wideranging musical experience, taking elements from a vast selection of genres and styles and combining them into their own unique sound.
Floating Through The Universe is a journey of different musical impressions from beginning to end. Taking you from cinematic soundtrack-like themes through hard-hitting rock riffs to danceable discojazz tunes with the use of vocoder for lead vocals. With references to innovative artist as Herbie Hancock, Daft Punk and Robert Glasper Floating Through The Universe connects with nostalgic vibes while also moving forward in the exploration of musical possibilities.
The album is a result of two years dedication to writing, recording and production. Prior to the release, the band will publish 2 singles accompanied by a music video and an animated video. They will be touring their homeland Denmark in the following months of releasing.
Floating Through the Universe is ready to revolutionize genres and break down musical dogmas. It is jazz music you can dance to, it is live electronica, power-music with no compromise. Abekejser surprises every listener who ventures into their sonic jungle-world.
