Studenterhuset’s Sunday Film Club: The Room + The Big Lebowski
Join us on Sunday 21st of May, when Studenterhuset’s Film Club invites you to a Sunday afternoon and night with 2 great movies.
We’re going to watch, and interact with, two films that have become cult classics in their own ways.
“The Room” will start around 16.00 and “The Big Lebowski” around 18.00.
There will be free popcorn, and you can go to the bar to buy beers/sodas.
“The Room” (2003) is a “romantic drama”, but is better described as “the ultimate disaster film”. Directed by and starring Tommy Wiseau, it focuses on his character Johnny and his personal relationship problems. The dialogue and acting makes it “so bad it’s good”, and like watching a train wreck, you just can’t look away.
The audience can actively participate by shouting or throwing objects in certain scenes.
“The Big Lebowski” (1998) is perhaps best described as a film noir parody. It follows the slacker Jeffrey Lebowski (Jeff Bridges), known as “The Dude”, who is mistaken for the millionaire with the same name (David Huddleston), and then recruited to get back the millionaire’s kidnapped wife. A bizarre story with even more bizarre characters.
The audience can join the drink-along, and drink a white russian every time The Dude drinks. We will have a special offer on white russians in the bar!
Come join us!
